Who we are
ParkTrace is made by SS Pixels. In this policy, “we” means SS Pixels and “the app” means ParkTrace on Android.
ParkTrace has no accounts and no servers of its own. We never receive your parking data, your location or your photos.
What the app stores on your phone
When you save a spot, ParkTrace keeps the following in private storage on your device, where other apps cannot read it:
- Location — the coordinates of your parked car and how accurate the reading was.
- Time — when you parked and when you cleared the spot.
- Details you add — floor, zone, row, spot, pillar and notes.
- Photos you take or choose — copied into the app’s own storage. ParkTrace does not read the rest of your photo library.
- Settings — units, theme, vibration and whether you have Premium.
This information stays on your device until you delete it.
What leaves your phone
Google Maps Platform. When you are online, ParkTrace sends the coordinates of your parked car to Google to look up a place name and address, and to load map images on the Find My Car screen. Google handles this under its own privacy policy. If you are offline, nothing is sent and the app still works.
Google Play. If you buy ParkTrace Premium, the purchase is handled entirely by Google Play. We never see your payment details. The app only receives confirmation from Google Play that Premium has been purchased.
Android backup. If backup is turned on in your phone’s settings, Android may include ParkTrace’s data in the backup it saves to your own Google account. This is controlled by your device, not by us, and you can turn it off in your phone’s backup settings.
Permissions and why we ask
- Location — to record where you parked and to guide you back. ParkTrace uses your location only while the app is open. It does not track you in the background.
- Notifications — to send a parking reminder, and only if you set one.
- Camera — ParkTrace does not ask for camera permission. When you take a photo, it opens your phone’s own camera app.
- Internet — for place names and maps, and for Google Play purchases.
- Run at startup — so a reminder you set still arrives after your phone restarts.
- Vibration — for feedback when you save a spot or arrive at your car. You can turn this off in Settings.
What we don’t do
- We don’t require an account or collect your name, email or phone number.
- We don’t use analytics, tracking or crash-reporting services.
- We don’t sell, rent or share your data with anyone for advertising.
- We don’t show ads. If that ever changes, we will update this policy before it does.
Deleting your data
You are in control of everything ParkTrace stores:
- Delete a single spot from Parking history.
- Delete all spots at once with Clear in Parking history.
- Remove everything by uninstalling the app, or with Clear storage in your phone’s app settings.
Because we hold none of your data, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.
Children
ParkTrace is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If we change how ParkTrace handles data, we will update this page and the effective date above before the change reaches the app.
